Fall Into Wellness: A 10-Day Cozy Challenge to Strengthen Your Body

Happy Fall! - It’s that time of the year where the season reminds me that life is about cycles. While going for walks and feeling the air turning crisp and the trees painting our surroundings in beautiful red, yellow, and orange, I feel a call in my heart to re-align with nature. And while it’s bitter sweet to know that colder days and less sunny days are ahead, I feel autumn it’s an invitation to slow down, nourish, and realign with nature’s rhythm. For me, it’s the season of grounding, warmth, and preparation (just like animals in nature do) — not just for winter, but for deeper self-care.

As a gentle invitation to help you strengthen your body, with a focus on your immune system while bringing balance to your mind and spirit, I’ve created a 10-day Fall Cozy Wellness Challenge. Each day includes one simple, mindful habit inspired by holistic wellness, herbal remedies, and a sprinkle of Ayurvedic wisdom.

I would love to hear about your personal experience, snap a pic and tag me! @Recoupiahealth. Have fun with it and enjoy!

🍁 Details about the Strengthen your Body Challenge

  • You can start any day — just follow one ritual each day.

  • Keep a journal nearby for reflection.

  • Repeat the challenge anytime your body needs to reset or restore balance.

  • Optional: Check off each day as you go, and note one word describing how you felt.

Day 1 – Begin with Warmth

Start each morning with a cup of warm water with lemon, ginger, and pure raw honey. This Ayurvedic ritual awakens your digestive fire (Agni), flushes toxins, and boosts circulation. Mindful moment: As you sip, take a deep breath and set an intention for your day — something you want to nurture or release, just like the trees letting go of their leaves.

Day 2 – Cozy Up with Herbal Teas

Herbal teas are your best friends this season. Sip blends with echinacea, elderberry, cinnamon, or tulsi (holy basil) to support your immune system and calm your nerves.
Try This: Make a tea ritual — wrap your hands around the warm mug, inhale deeply, and let the aroma slow your mind.

Day 3 – Nourish with Seasonal Soups/Foods

Fall is soup season! Choose warming, grounding foods like pumpkin, carrots, sweet potatoes, and lentils. Add garlic, onions, and turmeric for natural antimicrobial power.
Ayurvedic tip: Favor cooked, spiced meals over cold salads to keep your inner fire strong during chilly days.

Day 4 – Move Gently, Connect with Nature

Do a slow flow yoga session or go for a 20 minute nature walk daily to keep your lymphatic system moving and your mood elevated.
Try this short practice (5 rounds of breath each pose): Child’s Pose, Cat-Cow, and Supported Fish Pose — all grounding poses that calm the mind, reduce stress, stimulates the lymphatic and immune system, and improves circulation.

Day 5 – Strengthen Your Gut

A healthy gut = a strong immune system. Include fermented foods like sauerkraut, kimchi, or kefir, and drink a cup of ginger or peppermint tea after meals. Improves digestion, reduces bloating, and promotes faster stomach emptying.
Holistic tip: Before eating, take a few deep breaths to shift into “rest and digest” mode.

Day 6 – Create a Wind-Down Ritual, Sleep 7-9 hours

As days grow shorter, your body craves rest. Light a candle, stretch gently, meditate for 5-10 minutes or journal before bed. Prioritize your 7-9 hours of sleep to keep your immune system strong, restore, and detox your body. Fun Fact: Did you know that while we sleep our body produces important hormones for regulation, repair, reduce levels of stress, and even hormones that control our appetite the next day? That’s why quality of sleep on a regular basis is so important for wellbeing.
Ayurvedic wisdom: Try warm golden milk with nutmeg or ashwagandha before sleep — it soothes the nervous system and promotes deep rest.

Ingredients:

  • One cup milk of choice, such as whole, almond, or coconut

  • ½ teaspoon ground turmeric

  • a pinch of black pepper (helps with turmeric absorption)

  • ½ teaspoon (tsp) ground ashwagandha powder

  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon

  • ½ tsp ground ginger

  • a pinch of ground nutmeg

  • 1 tsp coconut oil

  • 1 tsp raw honey or 100% maple syrup

Directions:

  1. Bring the milk to a low simmer, but don’t let it boil.

  2. Once the milk is hot, whisk in the ashwagandha, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg.

  3. Gently simmer for five minutes.

  4. Stir in the coconut oil, and pour the moon milk into a cup.

  5. Sweeten with honey or maple syrup, if desired.

Day 7 – Declutter and Ground

Your home mirrors your inner world. Take 20 minutes to tidy up a space — your closet, your desk, a drawer, or your kitchen.
Mindful practice: As you declutter, release what no longer serves you. Feel the energy shift as you create space for calm.

Day 8 – Hydrate (Even When It’s Cold!)

We often forget to drink water in colder months. Stay hydrated with warm or room-temperature water and add a pinch of sea salt or lemon for balance.
Herbal option: Infuse water with cinnamon sticks, piece of ginger, pineapple and/or orange slices for a cozy flavor.

Day 9 – Indulge in Self-Massage (Abhyanga)

Warm a small amount of sesame or almond oil and gently massage your body before showering. This ancient Ayurvedic practice improves circulation, calms the mind, and deeply nourishes dry skin.
Bonus: Add a drop of lavender or sandalwood essential oil for grounding energy.

Day 10 – Connect and Reflect

Wrap up your challenge by spending time in heartfelt connection — share a meal, connect with friends, call a loved one, or simply sit with someone you love in silence.
Journal prompt: How do I want to feel as I move through this season? What can I continue from this challenge to support my well-being?

🍂 A Reflection about strengthening your body

Fall is nature’s whisper to slow down, care deeply, and return home to yourself. As you complete this 10-day challenge, notice how your body feels warmer, your mind clearer, and your heart more at ease.
Remember — wellness isn’t about doing more; it’s about being more present in what you already do.
