Hello, I’m Maylen Arroyo — thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me.

I’m originally from Mexico City and now live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, where I’m a Certified Holistic Health Coach, Entrepreneur, Yoga Instructor, happy wife and mom of two amazing girls.

As a passionate Virtual Health Coach, I help my customers reclaim their health, joy, and purpose through holistic, personalized wellness coaching—no matter where they live.

I founded Recoupia to offer a whole-person approach to well-being, blending nutrition, mindfulness, and movement aligned with life’s purpose—alongside a supportive community and expert partners.

My Journey

My professional path began in the corporate world after earning my BSBA from Northern Kentucky University. I was happy but I felt a call in my heart to help others at a more deeper level.

When I was a mom with little kids, I found myself pushing through parenting, moving, adapting—constantly tired, waking unrefreshed, emotionally drained. I told myself it was “just motherhood” and later on I told myself “this is what happens when you hit 40.”

Until one day, I discovered I had severe iron deficiency anemia—something many women never get tested for. That moment became a turning point.

I chose healing—not just recovering, but transforming. I began healing from the inside out through nutrition, mindful movement, rest, emotional wellness, and healthy boundaries.

Along the way, I earned my 200-hour Yoga Alliance Certification, became a Certified Kids Yoga Instructor, and during the pandemic, became a Certified Health Coach through the College of Naturopathic Medicine Today, I live my purpose—teaching yoga, working at a preschool that gives me the sense of community I once missed, and building a holistic wellness coaching practice that honors every part of the human experience.

My Philosophy: Wellness Is Whole

Your body speaks to you. Fatigue. Mood shifts. Brain fog. They’re not “normal”—they’re messages asking for your attention.
